How we set up your processing

A documented process instead of a quote over the phone. You see the reasoning behind every recommendation before you sign anything.

  1. 01

    Statement review

Send a recent processing statement. We map every line item so you can see exactly what you are being charged for today.

  2. 02

    Program design

We match your business type, volume and average ticket to a pricing structure and a processor that underwrites your category.

  3. 03

    Underwriting & approval

Your file goes to the processor for review. Approval and terms depend on underwriting, business profile and documentation.

  4. 04

    Setup & support

We configure hardware and software, train your team and stay on as your point of contact after go-live.

Pricing structures we support

We do not publish rates, because pricing depends on your card mix, average ticket, volume and risk profile. What we can do is explain each structure so you can tell which one you are on today.

Interchange plus

Interchange and network costs passed through with a defined markup, itemized on your statement.

Tiered / bundled

Transactions grouped into qualification tiers. Simple to read, less transparent on the underlying cost.

Flat rate

One blended rate across card types. Predictable, and often reviewed as volume grows.

Dual pricing & surcharging

Compliant programs that show a cash and card price, with the signage and disclosures each card brand requires.

Compare the structures side by side

Use this to identify the structure you are on today. Figures are intentionally not shown: your pricing is reviewed individually based on business type, card mix and volume, and is subject to underwriting approval.

EBT and SNAP processing

Grocers, markets, convenience stores and farm stands can accept SNAP food benefits and EBT Cash on the same terminal that runs credit, debit and digital wallets. Items are flagged as eligible in your catalog, so the POS applies the benefit to qualifying groceries and moves the remainder to a second tender without re-ringing the sale.

SNAP acceptance requires FNS authorization issued to your business. Features vary by state agency and processor, and account setup is subject to underwriting approval.

SNAP food benefits

Eligible grocery items tendered against the customer's food benefit balance.

EBT Cash

Where your state issues EBT Cash, accept those tenders and cash-back requests.

Split tender

Benefit balance first, then card or cash for the remaining total.

One settlement

EBT activity reports alongside your card batches for easier reconciliation.

Processing by business type

Card mix, tipping, EBT acceptance and refund patterns differ by industry. Start with the page closest to your business.

Online payments and payment gateways

Most owners comparing payment processing companies for online sales are really comparing two things at once: the gateway that collects the payment on your site, and the processor that moves it through the card networks. Here is the difference, in plain English.

The payment gateway

Software that securely captures a card, wallet or bank payment on your website, invoice or virtual terminal. It encrypts and tokenizes the details, runs fraud checks, and returns an approval or decline to your checkout.

The payment processor

Routes that authorized transaction through the card networks to the customer's issuing bank, then reports back. This is the layer most credit card processing companies are actually selling you.

The acquiring bank

Holds the merchant account, underwrites your business and settles the funds into your account. Your business profile decides which acquirer fits β€” subject to underwriting approval.

What to compare when you review processing companies

The pricing structure itself β€” interchange plus, flat rate or tiered β€” not one advertised number

Which payment types you can take: cards, digital wallets, ACH, card-on-file

BSV Solution works with leading processors and gateway platforms. Placement and available features depend on your business profile and underwriting review.

Payment processing questions

What is payment processing?

Payment processing is the chain of steps that moves money from your customer's card to your bank account: authorization at the terminal, clearing through the card networks, and settlement of funds into your business account. Your merchant account, processor and POS software all sit inside that chain.

How do I know if my current processing setup still fits my business?

Compare your statement against how you actually sell today β€” ticket size, card mix, online versus in-person volume and how much manual work your team does. A statement review shows where your effective cost comes from and which parts of your setup are no longer aligned with your sales mix.

Which processors does BSV Solution work with?

BSV Solution works with leading processors, including Worldpay and First Data/Fiserv, plus specialty banks for higher-risk categories. Processor selection depends on underwriting and your business profile, so we recommend the platform that fits your category rather than a single default.

Do you support businesses in restricted or higher-risk categories?

Yes. Some categories are underwritten by specialty banks with different documentation and reserve requirements. We review the profile first and tell you what the process looks like before anything is submitted. Approval is always subject to underwriting.

Can I keep my current POS hardware?

Often yes, depending on the device, how it was purchased and whether it can be reprogrammed for the recommended processor. We confirm compatibility during the review instead of assuming a replacement.

How long does setup take?

Timelines depend on underwriting, documentation and hardware configuration. We give you a realistic schedule once we have reviewed your file, and we do not promise same-day approvals.

Payment processing costs by city

Card mix, ticket size and how you take payments differ by market, so a merchant statement analysis is always local. Browse the markets we serve or send a statement and we will read it with you.

Don't see your city? Browse payment processing by state or request a free merchant statement analysis for your location. Pricing is reviewed individually and remains subject to underwriting approval.
